Opened in 2011, the exhibition is based on the collection of the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, and consists of more than 30,000 items of porcelains and glass, paintings, photographs and rare publications. The exhibition documents the development of the first national porcelain production, founded in 1744, and the history of Russian porcelain.
The 39 display cases, featuring mostly large and undivided glass surfaces, are equipped with ingenious hinge technology and a flexible and transparent shelf board system. Fibre optic lighting allows for a detailed presentation of the filigree samples.
