The Hermitage’s Exhibition of Japanese Art acquaints the visitor with aspects of traditional Japanese culture, such as the tea ceremony, It also illustrates traditions of applied arts in Japan through works of metal, enamel and ivory.
A specially formed aluminum profile reminiscent of the curved roofs of Japanese pagodas, was designed for the fifteen REIER display cases, most of them with multiple doors. All of the display cases are equipped with the latest security technology, comprehensive fibre optic lighting and anti-reflective glass.
