100 years after the sinking of the Titanic, the city of Southampton dedicated a new permanent exhibition to commemorating this catastrophe. For this interactive exhibition, REIER designed and manufactured more than 90 display cases equipped with climate control systems, and high-quality fibre optic lighting.
One of the exhibition’s highlights is the 7+ meter-long display case, housing the model of the passenger liner “Queen Mary”. The manufacture of the case as well as the installation of the 1,350 kg model ship inside it, proved a notable challenge for both our designers and the curators on site.
