The new permanent exhibition “Showcase Nature – Birds, Mammals and Minerals of Switzerland” opened its doors in June 2016. The appearance of birds and mammals reveals a lot about how they move, hunt and eat.
In 6 large scale display cases, two habitats, the city and the Alps, are presented and show exemplarily how the animals know how to help themselves in an ever-changing environment. Furthermore, 200 of the most spectacular and beautiful minerals from around 700 minerals found in Switzerland are presented under approx. 40 display case hoods.
