Situated in the middle of the Elbe-Elster district and nestled in the beautiful Lower Lusatian moorland lies the Museum Schloss Doberlug. On 18 June 2023, the museum opened its doors to an important testimony to European aristocratic culture in German museum ownership. The Dohna-Schlobitten collection comprises around 2,000 objects from the 16th to 19th centuries. They were once part of the inventory of Schlobitten Castle and will in future provide information in Doberlug about aspects of Central European aristocratic culture. The collection is on loan from the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg and has been prepared for the new presentation in several years of intensive work.
For the new permanent exhibition „Vom Feinsten. Preußische Adelsschätze in sächsischen Mauern“, which presents 400 objects, REIER supplied four freestanding display cases without lighting in 2022.
