The Museum Rietberg is in the heart of Zurich’s most beautiful park, the Rieterpark. With reconstructions to the Villa Wesendonck, and new construction that doubled exhibition space and improved below-the-surface facilities, the museum opened afresh in February 2007. Asian, Africa, American and Oceanic artworks never before exhibited, are now accessible to the public.
Sophisticated in construction, the 275 REIER display cases were manufactured in accordance with the architect’s desired aesthetic. Elegant details such as subtle colouring, sensitive lighting, and concealed hinges show the objects to their optimal effect.
