The maritime museum “Chatham Historic Dockyard” is located in the blacksmith hall of the former Royal Shipyard of Chatham, Kent. For the inaugural exhibition, REIER was asked to build special display cases for large model ships and nautical instruments.
The technical challenge was how to create a case where the long side could be completely opened in order to install the large models without harming it or the case. The solution was a four part fold-and-side door. With this innovative opening technology, REIER brilliantly exceeded the customer’s expectations.
